"I am a part of the Heart" Campaign began in January 2006 and challenges 1000 schools, universities, and community groups to raise $1000 each in order to provide funding for the building and beginning operations of Safe Harbor House in Gulu, Uganda. Schools and organizations world-wide are encouraged to build empathy for and awareness of the vulnerable youth in Northern Uganda as they raise funds that enable the Hearts for a Safe Harbor board to complete construction of Safe Harbor House. High School groups such as Interact, Key Club, and Student Council, university sorority and fraternity groups, and community groups such as Rotary International, Kiwanis and Junior Women's League that take on the international or youth causes as community service may be particularly interested in this campaign.
