Hearts for a Safe Harbor is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) charitable organization that strives to help vulnerable youth worldwide.

Hearts for a Safe Harbor is currently raising funds for the building of a "Safe Harbor House" in Gulu, Uganda. Four houses will be constructed to provide dormitory living, traumatic counseling, and vocational training for youth who have been rescued or escaped from the rebel's grip. Eventually, a library will be included in Safe Harbor House in order to bring to light a better world to the suffering youth and people of Gulu through the opportunities of knowledge and education.

In collaboration with the Archdiocese of Gulu, 1 acre of land has been donated in order to erect the "Safe Harbor House". When completed, the Archdiocese of Gulu will operate the building and its programs, becoming the self-sufficient.

The "Safe Harbor House" project, an ongoing campaign, has a funding goal of $500,000 for the construction of four buildings for the youth. This funding goal not only includes the construction of a four building complex, but the interior needs such as furniture and supplies that will help support the actions of the future staff and youth. Our four member team appointed by Archbishop John Baptist Odama of Gulu, has completed a year long training for traumatic counseling. In addition, a local youth, currently studying psychology at the university level will become an integral part of the team, working to help the youth of Safe Harbor House.  Find out how you can help this cause by clicking here. Every bit of support goes a very long way. Please know that all donations are tax deductible.
